NOVASOIL Turns Two! In just two years, we’ve made significant strides in identifying investment opportunities and developing innovative solutions to address the 2030 soil health challenges.
Over the past two years, we have conducted a thorough review of key concepts and soil health indicators, always with an eye on the latest European policies. We have analysed a wide range of management practices and their impacts on soil health, and selected 15 representative case studies to evaluate successful and scalable business models.
Through a survey of over 100 key stakeholders across Europe, we have identified the most urgent needs and demands for incentives and regulations to promote soil health. Based on these results, we have developed a decision support tool that will enable users to select the most suitable business model for their objectives.
Additionally, we have created an open-access knowledge platform where up-to-date information on soil health and the most innovative business models is collected and shared (https://novasoilhub.com/). We will soon be publishing a series of scientific articles detailing our findings and contributions to the field.
