Its relevance to the NOVASOIL project"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The NOVASOIL project: the importance of knowledge transfer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Knowledge transfer is a key process for the success of research and development projects, especially those focused on sustainability and environmental health, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/novasoil-project.eu\/index.php\/2023\/02\/07\/together-for-soil-health-join-the-novasoil-community-and-make-a-difference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Together for soil health: Join the NOVASOIL community and make a difference!\">NOVASOIL project<\/a>.<br>As the reader of this article should be aware, <strong>the main objective of this project is to highlight the social and environmental benefits of investing in soil health<\/strong>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key part of this effort is the <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/novasoil-project.eu\/index.php\/2023\/07\/12\/unlocking-private-investment-in-soil-carbon-in-englandeco-schemes-a-key-tool-for-sustainable-agriculture-in-the-eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Unlocking private investment in soil carbon in England Eco-schemes: a key tool for sustainable agriculture in the EU\">creation of a toolbox<\/a> to assess the feasibility of different business models that promote sustainable soil management practices<\/em><\/strong>.<br>Knowledge transfer will ensure that scientific and technological advances reach those who can directly benefit, such as farmers, businesses and communities, encouraging innovation and the adoption of sustainable practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Knowledge transfer plays a crucial role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Knowledge transfer involves the exchange of information, skills and technologies between researchers, entrepreneurs and policy makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In the context of NOVASOIL, this exchange is essential to develop a practical and applicable toolbox under different land use conditions and climates.<br>This toolbox will be based on examples of good practice and success stories both in Europe and in other regions of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social and ecological benefits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no doubt that investment in soil health, facilitated by knowledge transfer, brings multiple benefits. It is already well established that it provides society <strong>with continued access to nutritious food by improving soil fertility and reducing dependence on chemical fertilisers<\/strong>. It will be developed taking into account examples of good practice in Europe and other countries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Analysis of existing policies and technologies<\/strong>: This strategy will focus on analysing existing policies and technologies related to soil health to provide a solid basis for<em> creating incentives and new income opportunities for farmers<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Co-development approach<\/strong>: Involves active collaboration between scientists, farmers and other key stakeholders to develop and <em>refine models that promote soil health.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1uX1cUjKyCF_hkWebQWpIJir_c2eaGo8W\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Digital marketing strategy\">Digital marketing strategy<\/a><\/strong>: <em>To increase interest and participation in the project,<\/em> a digital marketing strategy will be implemented to highlight the benefits and progress of the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction of the NOVASOIL Toolbox<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The toolkit developed by NOVASOIL will serve as a practical guide for various stakeholders, providing concrete examples of how to implement and manage sustainable practices that promote soil health.
